Using Scripture Union "Light"
material, we continue to learn about the love of God
through studying Bible stories in a fun way - using
drama, puzzles, games, craft - as well as having
opportunities for discussion. Most recently we
concentrated on some of the parables of
Jesus.
Our Nativity Play was a
modern version of the Papa Panov story, which is about
selfless giving to others. We needed a model stable and
figures of Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus. These things
came to us by way of the Christmas Fair - God moves in
mysterious ways!
Although small in number, we
continue to support UNICEF through the annual Jar of
Grace Appeal and support 10-year-old Sarhad in Palestine
through Biblelands. We recently received a Christmas
Card from him in return for the pictures and letters
which the children had sent.
We had a glorious sunny
afternoon to visit Five Sisters Zoo in May and,
fortunately, the Christmas Disco wasn't cancelled, so
the children had a good time
there.
Thanks go to Mary Arndt, and
Ann Scott who faithfully continue at beginners and
Sunday Seekers - Ann even walked all the way in the snow
from Meadowpark one Sunday to be with us. That's
dedication.

Leader.
